Our primary business is senior management consulting with a focus on creative growth strategies. When strategies move into activation mode, we guide and direct planning, implementation and launch. When activation grooves into daily execution and a client prefers we stay onboard, we do some top line tactical pieces ourselves while working with any existing in-house team and, if necessary, contractor partners referred by our advisory team. We usually describe our consulting approach as "internal" and "hands-on" because we tend to go beyond strategy.
Our experience includes apparel, beauty, CPG, cannabis, ecommerce, esports, finance, health and wellness, legal, mobile apps, music, nutrition, publishing, real estate, SaaS, and subscription clients. We've even worked in adult toys, so we're not shy. New industries motivate us to learn quickly. We also geek out on applying outside perspectives that can help keep your business super fresh.
We usually work on a monthly retainer for a block or range of estimated weekly hours. Sometimes those hours go over and that's okay. Typical terms are 6-12 months, but nothing about consulting is typical. We also work on a project basis and those terms run an average of 3 months. In short, we're very flexible. After all, you came to us to relieve stress not increase it.
Most consultants usually don't deliver anything outside of verbal advice. We're not most consultants. We build and develop insights, templates, trackers, campaigns, plans and playbooks and, if you'd like, implement them for internal adoption. In most cases, clients keep us onboard to hire, train, up-level and/or manage the activation process.
Our rates vary by expertise, deliverables, hours, and relationships. A good dollar reference to consider is a COO, CXO or CMO's hourly rate based on an average total annual comp package. Although that may sound scary, you're getting executive-caliber, cross-industry insights and guidance without the full salary weight on your P&L. That said, remember we're flexible.
